silly ol’ bear

keeping so busy

and thinking that life

just isn’t easy

working all day,

playing all night

looking for things

to make him feel right

in search of a way

to find what it takes

and willing to pay

very high stakes

so he pushes and pushes

and tries to escape

while the people around him

his feelings do rape

they feed him and tease him

then tear him apart

and unwittingly go

straight for his heart

he blames them then curses

and calls them all names

because he’s tired

of playing those games
